Presentation of Culture Projects

It is nearing the end of our trainees' stay at Agder Research, and Anna and Yang presented their work on 17 June.

Yang Guo's project:
Branding of Norway as a tourist destination among young Chinese
This project is mainly about researching Norway’s image in the eyes of Chinese travelers, which provides information for Kirsti’s project proposal of attracting the stream of people coming to Southern Norway.  A survey has been carried out among young Chinese students and professionals, in order to find out whether they see Norway the same way as Norway tries to promote itself. The research tries to reflect on the traditional profiling or branding strategy of Norway carried out by official bodies. The project also contains my personal impressions and ideas about opening up the Chinese market to the Norwegian tourism industry.

Anna Roh’s project:
SNS (Social Networking Service) & SNG (Social Networking Game) in Korea 2010
Since the development of the concept and the technology of the Web 2.0, the users of Social Network Service (SNS) such as Facebook, MySpace, Youtube, Twitter, etc., have been increasing. Based on this, Social Network Game (SNG) has also been developed and is dramatically increasing now worldwide. In my presentation, I’ll investigate into the present status and prospect of SNS and SNG in Korea with regard to business activity.
